The built-in thermostat turns off when the ambient temperature is safely above freezing. The optional 304 stainless steel version helps prevent corrosion associated with high moisture locations like pump houses. A steel guard helps keep foreign objects away from the element. This heater is simple and reliable with no moving parts to wear out or maintain, making it a great choice for freeze protection.
